Jeju Aerospace Hotel

The room was huge, about twice the size of many hotel rooms we’d been in, and the hotel felt modern and nicely furnished. It’s not right in the middle of everything, but it’s pretty central, just a couple of minutes from Osulloc Tea Museum, Jeju Aerospace Museum, and Shinhwa Theme Park. My wife’s friend, a travel agent, recommended it for our one-night stay. We stayed at four hotels she suggested in Jeju, all around $50-60 USD because it was January, and this one was easily the best. I’d happily have paid three times as much. If you’re nearby, I’d recommend staying here.

It was a comfortable stay, and the place had everything we needed. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful, though the long winding road made it feel a little out of the way. The hotel is well maintained, with two parking areas, a hot and cold water dispenser on every floor, and a CU store beside reception. The room was clean and spacious, apart from a funny smell. The bed was medium firm, just right for us.

Everything else was good, including the restaurant and meeting rooms, and I had a very good stay. My work covered the bill, so I don’t know the room rates. A few small changes would help: more control over the room lighting, a way to switch off the bathroom and shower fan since it’s noisy and comes on with the light, and a clock in the room.

It was very quiet here, set well back from the road, and the lobby convenience store was handy for snacks. The hotel is also close to Jeju Aerospace Mueum and Jeju Greem Cafe, a 2D art cafe on the museum’s top floor. You don’t need a ticket to visit the cafe, and it was almost empty when I had breakfast there. This was the largest hotel room I had in South Korea. It was a little dated but very clean. The location feels like the middle of nowhere, so you definitely need a vehicle, and nothing is really walkable. Still, it’s a good base for landmarks on the island’s western side.
