You can see the sea right through the window, and I really loved that view. It’s a cozy, warm women’s dorm in a wooden house with six beds. There’s no check-in desk, so you need to call or contact the owner. You can also ask for help at the western food restaurant on the front corner, which belongs to the same boss. The house is close to the end of Jeju Olle trail 4 and the start of trail 5, so it’s a good place to stay for a night while walking the Olle course.

It’s an old log-built pension, and the name is now Yangji Log Cabin Pension, but I’m very disappointed by how neglected it is. I’ve lived here since March 2019 for a one-month stay. The floor gets hot, though there’s a strong draft. Hot water works well, and the tap water is good because it’s standard Jeju municipal water. The washing machine was so dirty from neglect that I hand-washed my clothes. My husband and I spent a week deep-cleaning while unpacking because every corner was filthy. I paid a 200,000 won deposit and handed over the remaining 600,000 won as soon as I moved in without checking anything. I regret that a lot, but didn’t want a stressful fight with the owner. If you’re planning a month in Jeju, don’t pay a deposit in advance. Come stay for a day or two first and look around carefully for a place.
