Pretty good.
A nice place to stay.
The room and bathroom were spotless, and the owner was so kind. I especially liked the huge windows, which give the place a lovely feel and seem like something women would enjoy. It’s a satisfying place even for a solo stay. Seongsan Ilchulbong is a bit of a walk, though doable for exercise, and the nearby Olle Trail is well kept and makes it easy to explore Ojo-ri Village. I’d stay here again next time I’m in the Seongsan area.
Every room looks out over the lake, so waking up to that view each morning was a treat. The host is very friendly and quick to help over text, and the house has its own kitchen with all the utensils you need. This will be my pick whenever I return to Jeju.
The cafe run by the owner has coffee and music that are right up my alley, and I liked finding books by Haruki Murakami, Park Sang-ryung, and Borges there. The view of Seongsan Ilchulbong from the room is what makes the stay, and the view and breakfast are good for the price. The facilities still don’t match a hotel, though. In room 204, the outlets were awkwardly placed, so drying my hair and charging my devices at the same time was inconvenient. Extension cords would help.
