Vistacay Hotel Worldcup

We had a good time at the breakfast buffet and tried almost everything. It was worth adding to the booking, just keep the 7-9:30am hours in mind. The staff were helpful too: one person spoke impeccable English and answered our questions about the area, and the hotel lent us a plug free after we left our S.Korean compatible adapters somewhere else. The hotel is in a lovely district with plenty of good restaurants nearby. Our room was pretty standard and still nice, though it shows its age. The shower felt cramped with the toilet right beside it, and water leaked at the door, maybe because the latch was loose. The hot water also stopped partway through my shower, as if someone had changed the heater settings. The bed was thin but springy, so comfortable enough for side sleeping. We couldn't use the rooftop pool because it was New Year's Day. The TV should have its settings reset with each room turnover so guests' forgotten accounts aren't left logged in and available to others.

The beds were decent, and more comfortable than the other firm mattresses I've tried in Korea. Staff were friendly, and the hotel was clean and nice. Our stay included breakfast for two. I'm not sure if that's standard, but it was a buffet with a mix of Korean and western food. I'd stay again.

There are lots of places to eat nearby, a convenience store just across the road, and malls within walking distance. The location is central. The rooms have a distinctly Korean style and were perfect for us, and the traditional breakfast had plenty of variety. There's also a rooftop swimming pool. Parking is limited, but you can use the open area beside the car park.

The indoor parking lot is tiny and often full. There is an outdoor lot farther away, but getting to it is still inconvenient. The room itself was a pleasant surprise, spacious and modern. The layout uses the space well, with a sink, a ledge for belongings, a large open floor area, and separate toilet and shower rooms.
