The concierge team was a big help and always came up with good options. Staff were generally amazing, though it was disappointing that something was thrown away from the bathroom on the first night. The restaurants served great food at reasonable prices. At Malt Bar, though, the food took a while, so it may be better suited to drinks. The rooms were OK, and the lifts were a bit slow. The hotel is somewhat out of the way, and the shuttle buses can be an hour or more apart.

The staff helped make a very difficult stay easier for my wife and me. She became seriously ill one day in, and we had to contact emergency services. The team called an ambulance, helped explain what was happening to the paramedics, and brought her porridge while she recovered. I’m grateful to everyone, from the front desk and cleaning crew to the baristas, for their help and kind words. They gave her peace of mind while she got better. This was the first stop of our anniversary trip. The hotel arranged a box of tulips, balloons, and a private airport car, all at a great price. Breakfast had more variety than at any other hotel I’ve stayed in, and the dinner choices changed daily. We’ll definitely stay here again when we return to Korea, hopefully under better circumstances.

The rooms are clean and well equipped, the breakfast has a good range of choices, and staff are friendly. Hhonors elite members are recognized well. The location is inconvenient, even with the shuttle to other places, and traffic noise came through in my highway-facing room. I found out the windows use a single pane rather than the double glazing I’d assumed was standard these days, which also helps save energy in winter. I also had an odd lounge experience after checkout. I’d been allowed to use the lounge, and assumed I could have the happy hour offerings while there. After I poured a drink, a staff member asked for my room number. Once they learned I’d checked out, they said I could only have soft drinks, coffee, or tea, and removed the drink I’d just poured right in front of me. Pretty strict service. Still, it’s their policy, and I didn’t argue.

The hotel was clean and well maintained, and we were all happy with our two-night stay. We had two rooms for ourselves and our parents-in-law. The rooms had enough space for two people, and the gym was well equipped and looked after. Guests can also use the indoor pool for free. Parking in the garage came at no extra cost. The hotel sits between Bundang and Pangyo, though it’s closer to Bundang. There are doormen and bellmen at the entrance, and the lobby is on the 10th floor. Getting from the garage to the rooms was a little confusing since it takes two different elevators. The tennis court was quite expensive to use, and breakfast quality could be better.
