The receptionist suggested I check out and move to another room. It cost 40,000 won more than the first one. Since it was Friday, I thought that was acceptable and booked it. Only after I paid did they say refunds and exchanges were absolutely not allowed. I couldn’t see a reason for that, so I just said okay. After checking out and finishing my work, I checked in again. The new room was larger, but it hadn’t been used. It smelled so bad I had to leave the window open and keep the air conditioner running. The bathroom wasn’t clean, either. The single sofa had awful stains, the bidet didn’t work, and the faucet was broken. At least the bedding seemed to have been changed, so I had to sleep on it. I think I understand why they were so firm about no refunds or exchanges. Whoever at the front desk recommends a room should at least air it out and clean it properly before letting guests in.

The room was only so-so. It’s a non-smoking hotel, which could be inconvenient if you smoke. There doesn’t seem to be room for many cars in the parking lot, so keep that in mind.

In short, parking is a hassle, the front desk staff are rude, and the place is just dirty.
