A downside for me was that the dining tables hadn't been cleaned. Still, Hwagok Soseol Smith Motel is reasonably priced, with tidy, modern-looking rooms, clean facilities, and bedding I slept well in. The front desk staff were friendly. Gaming spec PCs and big TVs make the rooms appealing for business travelers and couples. It's a moderate walk from Hwagok Station and Kkachisan Station, away from the busiest noise but still accessible, and there are plenty of useful places nearby. A laundromat and convenience store make snacks and laundry easy during a longer stay.

I keep coming back because it's close to the station. The bed's softer than at other motels, which I like, and the place is fairly clean. There's a convenience store right beside it, handy for picking up food.

They have a clothes steamer, but no skin lotion or toothbrush. I booked five hours and was told the room was only valid until three hours later. When I said that didn't sound right, the staff member replied, "Then do it that way. Why are you complaining?" It got awkward. The staff are older and seemed to struggle with the calculations.

The room was clean and nice, and the owner was friendly. The only downside was that the parking lot felt a bit small.

Those photos came out really well. In person it's much too cramped, and the bathtub looks like it's for a child.
