MW Hotel

There's a helpful keeper and lots of food choices around the hotel. It's close to Lotte and shopping, too. I loved the place and would recommend it to any traveller. 👍🏼

A good pick if you're travelling around Seoul on a budget.

There are plenty of shops nearby, which is a plus, but the room was a letdown. The pictures made the decor look new and lovely; in person, the interior felt dated and ordinary. It also wasn't very clean. The bathtub was dirty, the toilet smelled of urine, and I spotted a disgusting little bug on the floor. Cigarette smoke lingered in the room, which was bad for my rhinitis, and the old air conditioner had a slight smell, too.

With discounts and other perks from the Yanolja app, you can get a reasonably priced room here. It looked clean at first, though there was a lot of dust in spots that are hard to reach, like behind the TV. The bigger issue was a recurring motor sound outside my room, a bit like a vacuum, at irregular intervals between 6 and 8 a.m. It kept me awake the next morning. Maybe it was just that day, but I suspect it happens regularly. No photos.
