Room 302 had a leak behind the sink, with water running across the floor. The room smelled musty, and the window bug screens were so dirty they barely let air through. The walls were covered in what looked like black mold, possibly from the lack of ventilation. Disgusting.

The room was painfully dry from a radiator installed right below an electrical outlet, and I had nosebleeds throughout the stay. The so-called private rooms felt worse than dorms: the curtains were messed up, there was no floor heating, and the sound carried terribly. I could hear whispers in the hallway, while footsteps thudded through the building like an earthquake. The advertised private bathroom was across the hall, not in the room. It needed a password each time, which apparently made it private. Amenities were dirty, and it seemed cleaning was left to guests. Staff's main concern appeared to be knocking loudly at exactly 11 a.m. checkout. The place felt like a grim sharehouse posing as a guesthouse, with other guests there for a good time rather than a long one. Its ads for neighborhood businesses with questionable services were plastered everywhere, making the interior feel like a shabby pop-up website. The location is described as a 10-minute walk from Hongdae station, exit 3, but that exit is far from the main entertainment areas. After going drinking in the main area, we had to take a taxi back because walking would've taken more than 35 minutes. The whole stay felt like a scam built around technically correct advertising and blatant lies. Please think twice before spending your hard-earned money here, however cheap it looks. The small saving isn't worth the toll on your sanity. And don't use their airport pickup or drop-off service, it's ridiculously expensive and, judging by the service, not worth the markup. Hongdae station has an airport rail, or you can get a cab or Uber for less than half the price. We took photos of the mold that was there throughout our unfortunate stay.

I booked through agoda and cancelled two days later, but the hostel charged my card directly instead of handling it through Agoda. I waited almost a month for the refund and had to contact Agoda to get help recovering it. The money eventually came back, but the exchange rate cost me nearly 30,000 won. The staff and management were unprofessional, and the experience was terrible.

We had a memorable sleepover, and Sis N Bro Guesthouse worked really well for our group of six. The family room fit all of us, the price was reasonable, and there were modern-style rooms to choose from. It was especially handy for students at Ewha, Hongik, or Yonsei who want somewhere outside the dorms without being far from campus. The location in Mapo-Gu, Yeonnam-dong, is a quieter part of Hongdae, with distinctive cafes nearby, and it's just 500m from Hongik University Station. One friend flying back to Sweden appreciated being close to the Airport Metro and didn't have to get up too early for her flight. We had a private bathroom, shared kitchen and lounge, and laundry service. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's a good spot for students. Thanks for the lovely stay!

It was quiet, which was great, and the place is close to Hongik University and the airport line to incheon. Nothing fancy, and there’s plenty that could be improved, but it was okay. We were given face towels instead of regular towels, and the heating blanket barely worked.
