Stay Passport Express Spa Dangsan

I’m asking for a full refund through Expedia, and I’ve escalated the issue there. I’m writing this detailed review to warn others. This was genuinely the worst hotel experience I’ve had, and I don’t think the property is fit to operate as a hotel. Save your money and holiday, and book somewhere else. I’m attaching photos. There were blood stains on the duvet and black hair throughout the room. I’m blonde, so it clearly wasn’t mine. Housekeeping didn’t properly clean, only swapping towels and emptying bins, and amenities often weren’t replenished. One day I came back to find my door wide open, so anyone could have entered. There was no heating in the room on Day 1, and because the hotel is unmanned it took 24 hours to address. There’s no lift, so I had to carry heavy luggage up five flights of stairs, and there was no luggage storage for early or late check-ins. There was no wardrobe or storage space, as decorative items filled it instead. There was also no mirror in the room, and the bathroom mirror was too far from the sink to be useful. Customer service was extremely poor and reckless. The place is unmanned, and communication is through a kiosk. Staff used a translator app and couldn’t understand complaints. When I reported the blood-stained bedding, they giggled. They refused to change my room even though rooms were available and I had legitimate health concerns.

I had a lovely night at Stay Passaport express. It was original and fancy, and the bed was really comfortable. Thank you very much!

I honestly regret picking this hotel. We each had 20 kg of luggage and only found out on arrival that there was no elevator, something the booking site hadn’t mentioned. I almost cried when I saw our room was on the 4th floor. It took us 15 minutes to get all our bags up there, and there were no staff around, so we had to handle everything ourselves. The location was inconvenient too. The entrance was down a very narrow back alley. It had rained that day, and the area outside was full of broken pavement and cigarette butts. The bathroom was covered in grime, so the hygiene wasn’t as good as earlier reviews had led me to expect.

The interior was so modern and nice that it felt like staying in a hotel! I also liked how convenient the contactless kiosk was. It’s intuitive, and with this kind of technology becoming more common, having an unmanned place with a kiosk worked well. My family and I had a great time with the kids, and the spa was clean and well-equipped.
