Three Seven Hotel

The Japanese-speaking staff were very helpful, which I appreciated. But the shower and toilet have no divider, so water pools instead of draining properly and the bathroom gets soaked. After a day of sightseeing, this isn't somewhere I'd choose to relax. For an overnight stop, showering at a sauna in the city before heading home might be better.

The staff were really nice, even with all the issues. I had to switch rooms because the shower head was broken, and the elevator was out of order, so sometimes I had to take the stairs. The TV remote wouldn't adjust the volume either. The facilities seem old.

My 1404 room felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. It had a card key and a pin code lock, a big fridge and table, and a sturdy chair. With two suitcases open there was barely any floor space, so our things mostly ended up on the bed. The room was plain white from the wallpaper to the table, nothing like the color options shown on the website. Still, I was only there to sleep. The layout gave me the impression of housing for students coming to take university entrance exams nearby. There were a CU, a supermarket, takeaway kimbap, and a street stall selling tteokbokki nearby. About an eight minute walk away from the station, in the opposite direction, there was also a Kimbap Cheonguk, I think. Sinimun felt very local, with signs mostly in Hangul, so it could suit someone looking for that atmosphere. One annoying snag: I couldn't top up my Climate Companion Card at Sinimun Station. A convenience store worker told me to go three stops to Cheongnyangni Station to recharge it. I joined a package tour through Saka〇Travel Agency in early January 2026 and was assigned room 1404. Like other reviewers had said, there was no shower curtain. I'd read the reviews, so I expected that. On the last day, a staff member let me look at a room on the 11th floor, and that room did have a curtain. I wonder if rooms without them are assigned to guests from H〇S or low-cost tour companies. The owner?! at the front desk said that 70-80% of the guests here are Japanese. I wanted to give it one star, and didn't even take a single photo this time, though I usually do. But the front desk staff and the cleaning staff at Three Seven🏨 were both very pleasant, so I'm giving it two.

The shower water drained so badly that even the toilet area flooded. It looked like an ocean, but luckily the water hadn't spread into the room yet. I've never stayed anywhere with drainage this poor, and I don't think I'd come back. My kids don't want to visit Korea again either, so next time we've decided to stay in a proper hotel.
