24 Guesthouse Myeongdong Town

The hosts were welcoming and helpful from the start. We got a quick tour of the guesthouse, including the common space with its coffee machine and tea, laundry service, and supplies of towels and toilet paper. The host also showed us our room and explained everything. Our room was small but clean, had what we needed, and was reasonably priced. In winter, the heated floor and hot shower made it comfortable. There's a cozy little pantry in the common area with cute decor, where you can eat or make tea or coffee. Notes on the wall list snacks and drinks to try in Seoul, plus places to visit. The location was excellent, right by the subway station and close to Myeongdong market, restaurants, shops, and lots of tourist spots. It's easy to get around by bus or subway. We visited in winter and walked about seven minutes to the Skating park, where the activities were very cheap. The landlady was especially kind. When we chatted at checkout, I mentioned that I liked a certain tea but had trouble finding where it was sold. She gave me a bunch of tea bags. That goodbye chat with the host felt really heartwarming. I'd definitely recommend this guesthouse to friends.
