At about 9:50 on Saturday night, I went to the counter to book a room for the night. An older woman was lying down with her back to me. An older man asked if I wanted to stay, so I said yes. He asked the price, took my card, and said it was 70,000 won. He tried to pay even after I told him three times to wait. When I asked him to wait again, he pulled the card out of the reader and threw it toward me from a distance. Then he spoke informally and rudely, saying things like “prices are the same everywhere in Idongne” and “I’m out of luck.” He even asked whether I understood Korean. I wanted to yell at him. I’m posting a picture of this rude man, so please look at it. If you have a complaint, get a lawyer and contact him. I live in the US, so I may need an international lawyer. Think carefully.
