If the weather leaves you stuck for something to do in Sokcho, this local bath house is a good option. It’s relaxed and doesn’t look like much from outside, but the facilities are great. The baths are gender-separated and everyone is nude, so bring your own toiletries. There’s plenty of water, towels, cotton buds and lotion for guests, and the price is very fair.

There are several pools, including ones with jets for your back and strong streams that massage your neck, plus saunas. Towels are free to use. I paid 11,000, and I can’t wait to come back tomorrow. The place is absolutely amazing, and I came for the onsen and hot springs.

We had a wonderful time at the day spa and jimjilbang as a foreign couple. I’d recommend it over Cheoksan because this place is bigger. The baths ranged from cool to 42 Celsius, with outdoor baths separated by gender where everyone bathes fully nude. They provide two towels for the baths and sauna, but bring your own shampoo and hand scrub to wash before getting in. Afterward, we changed into the provided jimjilbang clothes and relaxed together in the saunas.

We ended up booking a 3hr family room for 65k won for three people. It was clean and pleasant, with beds, toiletries, coffee, drinking water and a nice view, though it looked a little dated. The regular public onsen costs 11k won per adult and 7k won per child. For families hoping to use the water park with slides, it was still closed on 7jun 2023, with Covid given as the reason.

The in-room hot spring bath was dated but very nice, and the hot spring itself was fine. The water park was closed at the end of June, though the hot spring was open. My daughter cut herself on a loose rock in the sauna, and at first the staff seemed not to care. They weren’t helpful overall and didn’t speak English. There was only one very small elevator. The grounds outside weren’t looked after, and the room furniture looked very dated, almost 1980s. The floors were scrubbed hard. We had one king bed and the rest of the family slept on the floor, old style. It wasn’t terrible, just not ideal. This is a review of the hotel.
