The buffet breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with everything fresh. Staff were friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make our stay memorable. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely appointed, with stunning sea and mountain views. The hotel is also conveniently located for exploring Sokcho. The hospitality and luxurious amenities made for a wonderful stay.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were great. There are sea view and mountain view rooms, based on the balcony outlook. I’d pick sea view, since it’s beautiful at both sunrise and sunset. The view is mentioned in the room details, so check your preference when booking. The food was delicious, but staff weren’t quick to refill the breakfast stations. Many were empty before breakfast time was over. Maybe there were a lot of visitors, but I don’t think that should be an issue.

I went for lunch recently. The top floor restaurant has lovely views over the water and mountains, and there’s a decent salad bar. The main dishes were just average, though, and the meal was on the expensive side. You’re mostly paying for the view.

The photos of Maremons hotel on travel sites looked good, but the place was very different when we checked in. The room and bathroom were unbelievably small, dated, and worn, nothing like the pictures. There was mildew and peeling paint around the room vents. It felt like the hotel hadn’t been renovated since the 80s. I definitely won’t return.

The balcony has a spectacular view, and the rooms are clean and beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. There’s plenty of parking, and the location is great. 🇨🇱❤️🇰🇷
