Glad Live Gangnam

The rooms were clean and housekeeping did a great job, but the service was infuriating. Staff were polite, yet very stubborn. They wouldn't honor gold status, and kept turning down my requests for either a complimentary upgrade or a room with a bathtub. The location is a little awkward, though a cab ride to places around Gangnam is reasonable. The subway is nearby, but you'll probably need at least one transfer to get where you're going.

That bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in at a hotel anywhere. The rooftop also has great views, and there are good dining options, though expect hotel prices. I spent nine days here, so had time to get a feel for the place. The Gangnam location is good, with many nearby sights within walking distance. Service was inconsistent, including housekeeping sometimes forgetting to replenish items. For a four star hotel, I found it odd that there's no dental kit provided and you're told to buy one in the lobby.

Good location, and the service was excellent. The room was clean and a good size, and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast could use more variety. The options felt more like lunch than breakfast, though what they had tasted nice.

The big shower room was my favorite part. The place feels spacious and modern, and I really liked the atmosphere. WiFi was fast enough, and the sofa cushions were comfortable for relaxing. There are toothbrushes in the in-room bar area, but I don't think they're free. There isn't a desk chair, so if you're here for work and need to focus, the cafe downstairs is probably a better spot.
