We showed up without a reservation on August 2nd, right at the height of summer vacation, and it felt like a wonderful gift. The old trees and the path along the valley are fantastic, with the mountains and water looking beautiful. Even during a heatwave, we could leave the air conditioning off and enjoy the cool valley breeze and cicadas. The building has an old school-trip feel, with an exterior like Heidi's Lodge, but the rates are reasonable and the shared kitchen works like one in a condo. The owners are incredibly kind. Wishing you all good luck too.
