A good base if you want to spend as much time as possible in Seoralsan. The park entrance is about a 20-minute walk away. From central Sokcho, take bus 7 or 7-1 to get here. The nearest convenience store and places to eat are around five minutes away on foot.

The hotel was tidy, clean, and clearly well looked after. You can tell this is a family business and they take pride in it. I was glad I stayed here and would come back.

The owner was really friendly and helpful. The room is basic, which fits the price. It’s a good spot for hiking in the park, and there isn’t much else to do.

The manager or owner was very friendly, and the bedding and bathrooms were clean and comfortable despite the dated facilities. It’s a great place to spend the night before an early hike.

The service was fantastic. If I messaged after check-in asking for mosquito repellent, ointment, or something else, I’d normally expect to be ignored and get an apology the next day. Here it was completely different. The air conditioning was great too. Even in midsummer I didn’t need it. They’d switched it on low before I arrived, then turned it right off when I checked in. It was a weekend during vacation season, when places to stay were hard to find. There are two room sections, the renovated Red House and the older, unrenovated Bandalgom, which is relatively inexpensive.
