Sokcho Full House Pension

The owner was incredibly kind, and we had a fun, comfortable stay. We chatted in the morning while I had a cigarette, and it was a good conversation. The room was clean, and the location worked well for Seorak Port and Mt. Seorak. Room No. 2 faces west, while Room No. 4 faces east. Saturdays are always fully booked, so keep that in mind when reserving.

Even though the building is old, it’s been kept so well that everything was very clean. The floor was spotless, and the AC cooled well without any moldy smell. The walls seem thick because I couldn’t hear the next room at all. There’s lots of parking, including plenty of spots around the neighborhood in the evening.

The owner was cheerful and pleasant, but summer didn’t work well for me here. The AC was too weak and the room got really hot. With the door open, mosquitoes came through the screen. The sea breeze was nice, but smoke from the BBQ in the first-floor yard also blew in and made it feel stifling. With the door shut, it was just too hot. Spring, fall, or winter might be better.

The sea is right beside this pension, though the view is of Mt. Seorak. Even on a cloudy, rainy morning, Mt. Seorak looks pretty. It’s a nice spot for a one-night stay.
