Sokcho Sinabro

I’d planned to stay just one night and move on, but couldn’t find anything else with this kind of value, so I’m staying another night. The place has been newly remodeled, with spotless bedding, a sparkling bathroom, and brand-new furniture. From the window there’s a view of Cheongcho Lake, and the parking area is spacious. The owner was kind, and even put out simple breakfast items like toast, soup, and coffee. A fantastic deal for the price.

I used to live in this hometown, and coming back was disappointing. It didn’t live up to my memory, and the service made it worse. The remote wasn’t working properly. When I asked, they said it was the sensor, but my brother opened it and found one side was rusty from age. I asked if it needed replacing and was told it was fine. It was rusty and falling apart, yet they didn’t offer to replace it and just left it at that. I don’t need to stay here again.

You can hear everything through the walls, even someone snoring in the next room. The cleaning wasn’t great, and one bed was missing the electric blanket cord. For the price, it’s not a very good motel. Maybe it’s okay for one night if those things don’t bother you, but I’d still find it hard to recommend.

There were lots of places to eat nearby, and we had a great two-night, three-day stay with the kids. The owner was kind and kept the room clean.
