The calm, modern decor makes James Blue feel comfortable right away. The space is clean and thoughtfully arranged, with a cozy feel that works for spending time alone or with friends. People seem to notice the care in the food and drink presentation and in how tidy everything is. Service is warm and attentive, too. It's a pleasant place to unwind and recharge, with a nice mix of comfort, quality and a relaxed atmosphere, whether you're there for a café, accommodation or lifestyle space.

James was so friendly and helpful, pointing us toward buses for Seoraksan, laundrettes and places to eat. The hostel is only a 5-10 minute walk from the bus terminal. Our room was spotless and had shower and washing amenities, and the shared eating area was kept tidy too. We'd definitely stay again if we come back to Sokcho.

James made us feel really welcome and was so kind, even giving us tips on the best sights nearby. My mates and I stayed one night, and the room was super clean and warm. Brilliant, highly recommend.

The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our first room had a damaged shower, so we were moved straight away to a better room at no extra cost, and got to stay there for the rest of our visit. Great service. The room stayed warm, and the bed was comfortable, neither too soft nor too firm. A hairdryer, shampoo and body wash were provided, which was handy. Nothing much to complain about. It was a welcoming, comfortable stay in Sokcho, good value, and I'd definitely recommend it.
