A quiet stay in peaceful surroundings, with a room overlooking Ulsanbawi Rock. I checked in on 2019-07-25 and checked out the next day after one night, for day 8 of the Seoul-Ganseong Walking Pilgrimage. I booked by reservation and was assigned Room 501. It cost 40,000 KRW in cash, though prices vary by weekday and by peak or off-season. The room had a bed, shower but no bathtub, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and four complimentary bottles of water in the fridge. The mosquitoes were plentiful, so use the provided repellent. The refrigerator was very noisy, so I turned it off. Staff were friendly.

The bathroom tap barely had any pressure, just a trickle. And after I'd thought the place was fine for a night's rest, a dog downstairs kept barking nonstop. I don't understand why a motel would let a dog stress out guests who are already tired.

A quiet, out-of-the-way place with plenty of parking. It's close to Seoraksan Mountain, just a short walk to the mountain, and the rooms were clean for the price.

Charging that much for a place like this is ridiculous. It isn't even cheap, and it feels like a rip-off, more like a local inn. That Sumisan sign is embarrassing.
