For day use, DS Hotel in Ingye-dong is good value. Suwon City Hall Station is about a five-minute walk away, and there’s a convenience store right beside the motel. It’s also near Na Hye-seok Street, with lots of bars, restaurants, cafes, and places that deliver. The lobby is a bit cramped, but there’s a dartboard, which could be fun for betting on something like the stay fee. The male owner was very friendly, and check-in was quick. My room smelled of cigarette smoke when I arrived. There weren’t any non-smoking rooms, so I reluctantly opened the window. The floor wasn’t sticky, and the bed, pillows, and bedding were clean and unstained. The ceiling air conditioner worked well, and the electric blanket kept me warm under the covers while I stayed cool outside them. I was very happy watching Netflix on the 75-inch TV during the day stay. The bathroom had good water pressure, and the drain and hot water worked excellently. My one disappointment was getting three towels instead of four. With the big TV, clean bedding, and working air conditioning and electric blanket, DS Hotel felt like excellent value for money.
