The owner speaks English very well and was supportive, sharing tips on places to visit, bus and ferry routes, and where to find good local food. He even offered us free rides to places that are difficult to reach by public transport. The place feels friendly and homely, like staying with a friend for a few days. I'd highly recommend it, especially to foreigners new to Korea. The owner can help find information from Korean sources, which is useful because many travel details on Korean websites are only in Korean.

For a trip around Tongyeong that includes hiking the mountain, this place works really well. The manager was so nice, and the house felt comfortable.

The hostess is always there to welcome us, and we enjoy chatting with her, even if the attention can feel like a bit much sometimes. Around check-in, she sends lots of KakaoTalk messages with suggestions for food and evening activities. The house is a renovated ordinary home. It's somewhat out of the way, though still a decent base for walks nearby. The main drawbacks were the soundproofing and no boiler.

The owner's lively conversation had us losing track of time, and the recommendations for Tongyeong sights and local restaurants made exploring more fun. We were welcomed by a warm smile and friendly directions, then found a charming, well-kept living room and guest rooms. The whole place gave us a sense of healing right from the start. It made us want to stay longer, and we'd definitely come back.
