Toyoko Inn Ulsan Samsandong

A friend suggested this place for my Ulsan visit, and I found the room comfortable and clean. The location was handy too. Breakfast came with the stay and was better than I expected, especially the tomato juice.

The rooms were clean but quite small, and apparently an extra pillow costs more. The front desk also struggled with a simple request: I asked not to have housekeeping, but they knocked on my door twice in the morning anyway. A DND or room-cleaning sign would make this much easier. Not the smartest hotel.

The location worked perfectly for us, especially since we arrived by Express Bus, and the reception staff were very friendly. My friend and I chose the cheapest room, so it was tiny and some appliances buzzed. You get what you pay for, though, so I can't complain. Breakfast was just mid.

The nearby bus stop connects to a lot of the region's highlights, and the design street and grand wheel are close by. It's a good base for a few days in Ulsan. The room was neat and clean, and felt luxurious for a hotel that isn't very established. Staff were friendly and the service was great. Breakfast is available, but nothing special.
