Hansol Oakvalley Resort Ski Village

The activities were the best part of our winter break at Oak Valley. We had fun snowboarding, though the snow wasn’t as soft as you might hope, and the school quickly arranged an instructor. The snow slide and playground were great, too. Our apartment was roomy, but there wasn’t daily housekeeping like at other places, so bring your own toiletries and towels.

We had a lovely view from the room, and it was tidy, but it seemed to have had only a quick wipe rather than a proper deep clean. One of the two showers drained very slowly. The bath towels were only hand-towel size, and there was no shampoo, conditioner, or anything extra.

The view was lovely and made it easy to relax. We spent two nights and three days at the end of the year with family in Valley Village, Condominium A. It had two rooms and two washrooms, had recently been renovated, and was in acceptable condition, with a refrigerator, microwave, and kettle. There are several restaurants, a convenience store, and an eight-lane bowling club. OAK VALLEY has two villages, Valley Village and Hills Village, about a 10-minute drive apart. We drove from Gangdong-gu, Seoul in around an hour and a half. When you’re burned out and need a break, or just feel like living high on the hog, OAK VALLEY could be a good choice.

We visited with the family in late summer. The scenery was beautiful, and it felt safe for the kids. The condo was clean, though small, and came with only small towels, no soap or shampoo. There isn’t much to do if you don’t golf.
