The room was spacious, spotless, and had a perfect view. We also found the staff very friendly and helpful. The resort community is huge, with a playroom, arcade, restaurants, beach, swimming pool, convenience stores, laundry facilities, and walking trails. Since we went on a weekday in late October during the off-season, it was wonderfully peaceful, with a beautiful view and quiet atmosphere. The hotel is kept in notably good shape for its age. I’ve heard the resort side is old and not as well maintained, though, so I hope management will take reviews like this into account and keep quality up. The uploaded pictures are useful to look at.

We stayed on 12/31/2025 to get up early for the year’s first sunrise. Arriving after 9pm, we found reception was off duty and had to check in at another location, in the resort section. The room felt a little dated, and despite having two bedrooms there was just one bed, with floor mats in the other room. The basement amenities and convenience stores had closed early for New Year’s, or they normally close at 10pm, which seems early for Korea. We had a good time, though that was mostly thanks to the people we were with. The beach was probably the best part of the resort.

The guest rooms have a fantastic ocean view, and the location is great. The facilities are somewhat dated, but it’s a lovely spot to relax and get a change of pace.

The room was cozy and in great condition, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. From Seoul, the drive to Yangyang takes under two hours on the highway. There’s a small water park and a sauna, too. The highlight for us was the buffet: we had both breakfast and dinner, and all the food was tasty. Prices were reasonable. Amazing place to stay!

The bedding wasn’t clean, and there was a bad smell in every room. I was also frustrated that I couldn’t adjust the temperature in the ondol room, the Korean-style room with heated floors. A very disappointing stay.
