The kids had a great time in the duplex room, and I really liked having a Bluetooth speaker there. The unlimited sauna and outdoor bath were highlights, and the facilities were clean. The downside was the noise from upstairs. I didn’t expect to hear so much thumping, but the sound carries between floors quite loudly, perhaps because it’s a good place for running.

The open, airy rooms are unlike those in a regular hotel. The staff and service were friendly, and I loved the location too. This has become my all-time favorite hotel. You should definitely go.

The facilities are clean, and being right by the ocean in Yangyang makes it easy to play in the water and wash up afterward. I was a little disappointed that the hotel sauna was missing one.

I liked the wide bed and clean bedding, and the furniture and decor looked fresh, maybe because the place is fairly new. The room felt cozy enough to shake off travel fatigue. Mine was wheelchair accessible, and I could tell they’d paid close attention to getting around. I arrived late and it was the last room available. It had a high ceiling and a Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speaker that filled the room with music, so I listened in the evening and again in the morning. The bathtub was outside the main room, and putting the speaker in there gave the whole space a concert hall feel. Even the kettle was a Balmuda. There’s no separate check-in desk, and it seemed like only one staff member was running things, so don’t expect concierge-style help. Check-in and checkout are done at a kiosk. A convenience store and a pretty decent chicken place are nearby. I took a walk to pick up a simple dinner. The view isn’t especially striking, but the place has a charming, open feel. They’ve done a good job making it cozy and providing the essentials. I’d stay here again on another trip to Yangyang.
