The best part was having a private site close to the amenities, though ants were everywhere. I know it's a natural setting, but there were just too many. Area C is manageable, while sites farther out mean a longer walk to the facilities. There aren't enough sinks or restrooms for all the sites, either. Some pitches aren't level, and you may need to move your car out of the way. Take care driving beyond Area C. Apart from that, I didn't have any particular complaints.

I chose site A hoping to enjoy the botanical garden, which I'd visited before, but it was closed and signs were posted all over, so there wasn't much to do. The site itself was very hot, with no shade from trees or lawns despite being up in the mountains. The bathrooms were a long way off, and the checkout counters were dirty and poorly kept. My companion went to the other site above and said it was fairly clean. I don't think I'll return.

We keep coming back to the pension around the end of the year and are happy with it every time. It's a lovely place to unwind, with fresh air, quiet surroundings, and scenery that looks beautiful in every season. The kids enjoy it too, and we've even seen wild animals such as water deer. In winter there's sledding for the kids, and you can sled on the pond as well. We were disappointed that the lake hadn't frozen during our visit, so we couldn't sled or play with ice tops. There are photo spots along the walking paths, and plenty of places to eat and visit nearby. The staff are friendly, the service is great, and the parking lot is spacious. It's also not too far from Seoul. If skiing's your thing, Gonjiam Ski Resort is nearby. A nice spot to enjoy nature with the family.

The garden has been turned into a campsite, with roomy sites and a big lawn where kids can play. The shower room was clean, and the hot water worked well in the morning. The facilities weren't explained very clearly, though. There was no hot water in the restrooms, and the shower door wouldn't open. I called three times that morning before they texted back and directed me to a shower room about a five-minute walk away.

The scenery is lovely and the sites are nicely spaced. For a family of four, the stated maximum occupancy is two adults. They stopped providing plastic recycling bags this year, though the recycling area is now closer. In the photo, I sentence the sausage to the stake for being too delicious..!
