What stood out most was the check-in and evening staff. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome, which can mean a lot when you're traveling as a foreigner. The place felt like a home away from home. Everland and Caribbean Bay are very close, and the hotel runs an excellent free shuttle for guests. The breakfast buffet is good; dinner has fewer choices but is tasty. There's also a small grocery shop on-site, which is handy. I'd recommend staying here whether you're visiting from abroad or local.

The free hotel shuttle goes to Everland and the bus station, and Soom is close to Everland. A taxi from city hall to the soom costs about 70,000 won, which is very cheap. There are nice places to eat just a short walk away. It's not luxurious like the 4 seasons, but it has plenty of charm and is comfortable. Manager mr Joon is very helpful. I'll definitely come back to the soom.

The concierge team is why I'm still giving it 5 stars. They kept going the extra mile, including a Mandarin-speaking woman at the front desk who followed the driver to find us because she worried we might miss the shuttle. The free shuttle to Everland was a real help too. We booked the family duplex for two winter nights. Staff were warm and always willing to offer suggestions or help us feel at ease. The rooms were generally clean and well kept, although a few small spots show their age after six years of operation. Nothing there was a problem for me.
