The managers are super nice, but the room smells really bad.

Just below the Bitgoeul Sports Center, booking a standard room through the Motel Village app is a great deal. The room is spacious and has a table and slippers. The bathroom is average, though there are others nearby. There’s only one microwave on the first floor, and it’s broken and unusable right now. Compared with staying at an older motel, this is a pretty good deal.

We arrived in Gwangju at dawn after traveling overnight, and my family needed somewhere to rest for a while. The hosts were very accommodating and gave us a room with ondol flooring, which was a nice touch. They also provided extra bedding.

The room is reasonably spacious, about the size of a one-and-a-half-room unit. The interior seems around ten years old and feels a little damp and stuffy from the humidity. The towels are clean and the hot water works well. The hairdryer is extremely flimsy, though, so be careful not to burn your hair.

The facilities in this model aren't especially impressive. Still, having a Styler in the room meant I could put on freshly cleaned clothes the next morning, which was nice.
