International Hotel & Spa Pristina

The food service was frustrating: I couldn't even order a decent sandwich. They brought something different from what I'd asked for, then charged me anyway. English was a major problem, and there seemed to be too few employees to run a hotel whose architecture and setup were built for five stars. I know Kosova is a developing country and may need time to adjust to tourism and hospitality, but this was one of the worst hotels. There are other places to choose from in the area, and I think it's best to avoid this one.

The meals were delicious, though a bit repetitive. The hotel was quiet and clean, and the location felt nicely placed, neither too close nor too far from the city center. The room was spacious and, most importantly, SPOTLESS! Food and beverage staff were lovely, and the waiters were quick and kind. At the bar by reception, the girls had coffee ready in a minute or two, depending on how busy it was. At reception, rec. Bleona was kind, polite, always smiling, listened well, and was ready to answer any questions.

The view from my room was amazing, over the mountains and part of the city. At night, that was my favorite part of the hotel. I stayed for a longer stretch while attending a summer school, with lectures in the conference room. The rooms were nice and clean, the pool area was nice, and the staff were lovely. They speak English well and are always up for a little chat. The food was pretty okay, with good variety during the first few days, but it barely changed after that. Since I was there so long, I eventually got bored with it.

Breakfast was good, and I had no trouble with the AC, unlike some other guests. We had a suite for three, but the kitchen refrigerator didn't work and there weren't enough trash cans. There wasn't even one in the bathroom. The safety box was a HUGE downside: it didn't work, and they didn't fix it after we asked.
