Leaders Plaza Apartments

My kids loved this place. It has a swimming pool and is kid-friendly, with a lovely atmosphere. The rooms were neat and clean, and the hotel always smelled fresh. It's also really quiet, so it's a nice spot for a relaxed weekend away or a staycation.

We booked one night with friends, and the stay went from bad to worse. The reviews had made it seem like a good choice, and it looked that way until we got to the room. It was freezing, and we couldn't switch off the air conditioning, so we asked for heaters. The single beds were narrow and had springy mattresses, which made sleeping uncomfortable. When it was time to shower there was no hot water, and we waited half an hour for someone to fix it. Later the toilets wouldn't flush. Breakfast was okay.

The rooms and kitchen were spacious and clean, with all the appliances and utensils in the kitchen. There's a decent coffee shop on the ground floor, and breakfast was average. Room service needs a lot of improvement. They only cleaned when the guest insisted, and used plates with food were left in the corridor for one or two days.

I was there for a one-night work trip, and that was fine. If I were travelling for pleasure, I wouldn't have chosen Leaders Plaza. The rooms were big but dated, the furniture seemed rather overused, and the beds were below average. Overall, it was okay.
