I travel from the US and put a high priority on security, and Spice Hotel gave me a comfortable stay with security measures that exceeded my expectations. With just five suites on each floor and 30 in total, the setting felt secluded. Having the option to use a private indoor pool for half an hour each day added to that feeling. The suites have separate living and sleeping areas plus kitchenettes, so there was less need to interact with staff. I enjoyed the balcony view over the Gulf of Kuwait, especially in the pleasant November to March weather. The sea views are beautiful, and the hotel is close to Kuwait's main walkways. Its proximity to the 5 Freeway is convenient for embassy staff, oil and gas workers, contractors, and longer-term visitors like me. Breakfast at Diwan restaurant was just steps away from the hotel, arranged through the neighboring Holiday Inn. I enjoyed the buffet, and the setup reduced traffic and staff presence inside the hotel building, which added to the security feeling. I found the service excellent, the amenities good, and the covered parking free. The rooms are spacious, the service is good for the price, and the sea view is lovely. With only 30 suites, there aren't many people around, which makes it a good choice for security and business privacy, my main concern.
