The beach is a lovely spot for a picnic, and it’s only about 500 meters away. The seawater there was oily, though, so I wouldn’t consider it suitable for swimming. The stay itself was easy on the budget, with clean, nice rooms, air conditioning in each one, and Wi-Fi.
I paid 60,000 tenge a month for a private room with its own bathroom, which felt very affordable. The location was convenient, the room and linens were clean, and the price was good. Cockroaches were everywhere, apparently coming from the dorm upstairs. I was on the third floor, so it felt like breakfast was served right in bed. Maybe the lower floors are better.
The staff were friendly, and the location is handy, right in the city center near the waterfront. We were three people in a four-bed room, but had to ask for toilet paper. Cockroaches kept appearing, and without a shower curtain we were always wiping water off the floor. Fine as a stopgap while looking for somewhere decent. No photo with this review.
A budget option for a short stay in town or while you search for decent accommodation. There were cockroaches, and the shower had no curtain.
