There’s just one shower for everyone, so you might have to wait, and the filtered water tap wasn’t working. The kitchen is basic. It’s a small, simple hostel in a residential block, close to useful amenities, and the airport bus stops nearby. I arrived around 9 pm to find reception empty; a resident who spoke English helped me reach the staff. When I checked out, reception was empty again, so I left the keys behind and went.

The people working here really made the stay. The receptionist went out of their way to help us sort out our next ride and destination, even keeping in touch with our driver to see whether we’d arrived and make sure we had enough cash to get there. I haven’t often seen staff put in that much effort so willingly. Thanks so much, art hostel! The kitchen is large and nicely decorated, and the bathrooms are modern and clean with no water pooling. The capsules are roomy and cozy. Only complaint: the lights by the beds didn’t work.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the rates are fair at 2,500 KZT a night. It’s a nice place, though it doesn’t stand out much from the other nearby hostels. The location is good, near a bus stop and central Abai Street. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, and utensils. A couple of desks for working on a laptop would be a nice addition.

A really cozy, welcoming hostel. It’s always clean and quiet, and close to the metro, ATMs, shops, cafes, restaurants, and just about everything you might need. The administrator is very professional. Would suggest staying here!
