Guest House Viator

The owner’s hospitality really stood out. She was patient and kept looking for ways to help us, even giving us watermelon and pancakes with a big smile. We spent four days at this hostel and loved our stay. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and the toilets were clean too. It's well located and has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. We'd definitely come back. This is the place to stay in Almaty!

The host was very welcoming and shared great restaurant recommendations for the neighborhood. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms clean. The location isn't right in the center, but we could walk to the city center, so that was fine with us.

Lianna is such a lovely lady. We arrived late at night, and she handled a last minute request from us and supported us throughout. I'd definitely recommend staying at Hostel Viator.

We had such a good time at Hostel Viator that it became our homebase in Almaty. We'd head out to places like Kolsai lakes, lake Kaindy, Charyn Canyon, and Aksu-Zhabagly, then come back with that feeling of coming home. For price and quality, it's an ideal homestay and an excellent choice. Our private room had two beds, and they were great. The hostess was very friendly and could make breakfast if you wanted. You can also wash clothes, and the Wi-Fi was great. The shared facilities were all there: a kitchen, bathroom, two separate showers, and two separate toilets. Everything was super clean. Highly recommended!
