Resident Hotel Abay

I arrived from the airport early, around 6:45 AM, and had to wait until 2 PM to check in because of my reservation. No one explained that checkout would be at noon. I was already exhausted from the early flight and thought I was simply getting an early check-in. I don't usually write bad reviews, but then I got a call saying I had to check out. The woman was rude, told me I'd only booked those five hours and had to extend or leave, then hung up when I asked to speak with a manager.

Breakfast was awful, and the same every day. The food handling was extremely unhygienic: staff cooked without gloves and coughed and sneezed over the food. The omelet cook drank from the spoon used for oil, then used it again for cooking. I strongly recommend booking without breakfast.

The location was excellent for both work and leisure, convenient and well placed. Service stayed efficient, professional, and responsive throughout my stay. My room was spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a large, comfortable bathroom. The TV was high quality, with a clear picture and reliable connection. A very comfortable, well managed hotel.

I had to pay for breakfast as part of the room price even though I didn't use it all, and they gave no choice. The breakfast was poor, too. I ordered a fried egg but got one that was already cooked and cold. The chicken sausages smelled odd and tasted sour, like they might have been spoiled. When I told the waitress, she didn't respond and just brought the bill. For an 8 AM early check-in I was charged half the room rate, including breakfast. I asked if they could at least take breakfast off the charge, but reception wouldn't discuss it. It was basically, pay or leave.
