Resident Hotel is a comfortable, friendly place in a quiet residential area on Ulitsa Taktarova. What impressed me most was the honesty. My flight to the UAE was at 4 PM, so I booked an extra day to keep the room until the afternoon. We checked out around 1:30 PM, and the hotel returned the full day's room charge since we hadn't stayed all of that second day. That kind of customer care is rare, and it really impressed me. Staff were welcoming, polite, and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast simple but nice, and the stay was good value. The neighborhood felt peaceful, with schools, shops, and bus stops nearby. There are plenty of small shops and a school around, which makes the area feel safe and lively. It's only 10 minutes from Almaty Airport, with good Wi-Fi and a calm atmosphere for work or rest. The narrow road through the residential area is manageable. A few things to keep in mind: there's no elevator, so you have to use the stairs, and a lower floor may be better if that's an issue. The short trip to Almaty International Airport makes it convenient for transit passengers, and it seems well suited to short stays and families. Resident Hotel is popular with transit travelers, and the respectful staff and customer-friendly approach make it stand out among budget and mid-range hotels in the city.
