I’d recommend this clean place, especially if you want to be close to the tourist attractions. The location is excellent, and the people are friendly and always ready to help.

Definitely affordable, but I wouldn’t stay again. This was one of my worst hostel experiences. The sheets were damp, the towel was wet, there was no secure locker, and I was first given the wrong room. The bathroom had no soap or toilet paper, and the shower worked but was in poor shape. Someone, apparently hostel staff, threw away my food. I couldn’t find any English-speaking staff, and when I decided to leave, I was threatened. I didn’t like being threatened, and the stay fell well short of what I expected.

I really liked staying at this hostel. It had a quiet, friendly atmosphere, and the staff were kind and helpful. The only downside was the location.

The common area and kitchen were nice, and everything was very clean. There’s plenty of bathroom space, the room was spacious, and guests can use the washing machine for free. The owners were very nice, too. It’s in a good part of Almaty, near a local bus that goes to the center, and KokTobe park is within 9km. Great price for Almaty, and I’d come back.
