Shymbulak Resort Hotel

Being right on the slope made the location really convenient, and we had a wonderful stay with our family for four days. The hotel is charming in its own way, though not fancy, and the staff were polite, welcoming, and helpful the whole time. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed, but it got a bit too warm at night since the heating runs continuously. Breakfast was a buffet with a limited selection, though there were enough decent choices. We also enjoyed the cozy restaurant, and especially the clean outdoor hot pool after skiing. The sauna area was nice too, with a room to make tea and relax afterward. We’d definitely come back.

Breakfast was lovely, and the food had both good variety and a delicious taste. The place is comfortable for an affordable price, and the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the doorman. We were surprised to get an upgraded room, thanks to the lovely receptionists. The food at the hotel was fine, though the staff could have been friendlier. Getting there is easy, and transport up and down can be arranged without much trouble. We missed the snow in early December, but the hotel stay made up for that. One small thing in the room wasn’t working and couldn’t be fixed.

The rooms may seem a bit small if you’re used to 4 or 5 star hotels, but the food and the friendly service were truly lovely.
