The courtyards are spacious, quiet, and free of cars, which is a real plus. There are shops, pharmacies, coffee spots, and private kindergartens around the complex. Getting in and out can be a hassle, like at many complexes in the city, and parking is scarce during rush hour.

The buildings have a lovely design and the complex seems thoughtfully planned. But so many have damaged finishes that the whole place looks neglected. It makes me doubt the management company is doing its job. They need to replace this housing and utilities company. The same poor condition shows up across the complex.

After sunset, the riverfront gets so peaceful. You can feel the cool evening air, hear the quiet, and see children playing while older people stroll arm in arm. Those little scenes bring the atmosphere of Almaty right to you. I love this complex, especially its location by the river.

Getting here is easy and the location is good. Parking is limited, though. The staff were polite.
