The bed was dirty, and there were no outlets near it. Local people were yelling while drunk every night.

The room was bright, cozy, and clean, with a wardrobe, bedside tables, and thick curtains that blocked out all the light. The shower had strong pressure and very hot water, which was a real bonus. The shared spaces were clean and comfortable too, and the staff were warm, pleasant, and helpful. We spent a few days here and had a good experience. Thanks for being so hospitable 🤗

We booked six nights on Booking.com for 80,000 tenge, but the price was raised to 100,000 when we checked in. That was unpleasant. My wife and I stayed for a week at this new mini-hotel near Presidential Park in Astana. It has 21 rooms, and it's the usual modern mini-hotel setup. There are also rooms without windows. Our double room had a large bed made from two single beds pushed together, a nightstand, a small closet, and a TV I never used. It was quite small, really just somewhere to sleep, and there was no safe. The bathroom fixtures are new and working, with soap and gels provided, though we used our own. Towels were available too, and I doubt the shower or toilet will cause trouble anytime soon. There's a fairly roomy shared kitchen with two stoves, two fridges, two kettles, a flow-through water filter, and lots of dishes. No dishwasher, though, so everyone has to wash their own, and some people don't do a very good job. The shared area has two sofas, tables, and armchairs, with plenty of outlets for working on a laptop all day. WiFi is there, but in the evenings it's extremely bad. In the daytime, video calls are possible if no one else is around; when another person is working, the connection gets really clogged. The lobby has air conditioning. There are lots of small shops nearby, including a Small supermarket. For a comparison, the rooms have about the same amenities as Ibis Economy. My suggestion would be to keep basic cooking supplies in the kitchen, at least salt, since nobody seems to look after that. Sugar, sunflower oil, and tea would also help make it a standard minimum.
