The embassy is very close, with a supermarket nearby and a picturesque park and river where there are plenty of places to walk. There's also a mosque close by, and apparently a cafeteria attached; my mother went there for lunch. We chose Americana Hostel because my 86-year-old mother needed to get a visa to visit her grandchildren in America. She has serious memory problems, and we couldn't find anyone to accompany her, so in the end she went by herself. Aigul and Saken looked after her constantly, gave her breakfast, and were kind and responsive. They met her at the airport and saw her off for both overnight flights, and drove her to collect her passport. They're very responsible hosts, and I'd feel safe trusting them with elderly parents. For an interview at the American consulate, this is probably the best place to stay.

We spent three days in Astana in February and walked all around the city center. The location made that easy. The hosts were welcoming, and the new building has lovely renovations. Even in winter it was warm throughout, with heated floors everywhere, and we felt comfortable. Having separate bathrooms was handy too. Thanks again, I recommend this hostel!

Just behind the U.S. Embassy, Hostel Americana is comfortable and very affordable. The dorm rooms are clean and spacious, and having showers and toilets right in the rooms is convenient. The staff were helpful and really friendly. I'd recommend staying here in Astana.

Everything was clean and tidy, the people were friendly, and there's internet. It's in the center of the new city, close to the American embassy, with a store nearby and a supermarket not far off. The only drawback for me is that the bathroom and toilet share one room. A cozy, excellent hostel, thanks!

There's a roomy kitchen and living area, and the rooms are clean with facilities in both the rooms and shared hallways. The hostess is the standout, very responsible and quick to help.
