The setup here was far more thoughtful than I expected. Each bed has its own curtain, light, shelf, and outlet, and both the pillow and mattress were comfortable. The sheets were clean and felt good too. Getting there was easy: there’s a supermarket less than 20 meters away, a bus stop about 100 meters off, and the center is roughly a 15-minute walk. Laundry is free every three days, and there’s free tea as well. The shared spaces are in great shape. The kitchen has what you need to cook, there’s a dining room plus two places to hang out, and the bathrooms and showers are nice. Everything was clean and organized. In the dorms, there are two lockers, one below the bed and a second by the door. That bigger one has dividers, a hook for a backpack or clothes, and a socket inside so you can charge devices securely. I’ve stayed in plenty of hostels and hadn’t seen that before. I booked at the last minute and arrived half an hour later, before check-in time. The staff didn’t make an issue of it at all. They welcomed me with smiles and showed me around. Sanzhar was a real highlight too, such a funny guy!

We found the hostel clean and in a convenient spot. The staff were really friendly, let us check in early, and kept our luggage at reception on the last day while we went out. A special thanks to Azhar, her smile and energy made the stay even nicer. We’d definitely recommend it!

Hostel Forum felt like a second home, not just somewhere to sleep. It was comfortable and had such a warm, welcoming feel. Yasmina, Nazgul, and the rest of the staff were kind and professional, and made the stay memorable. I accidentally left my Birkenstock sandals in the shoe boxes. I don’t know if there’s any way to get them back, but I’m grateful for the care and hospitality either way. Thanks for everything. I’d happily recommend Hostel Forum to anyone going to Astana.

The location really adds to the stay, and the beds were comfortable. The facilities are among the best I’ve seen in a hostel: clean beds and bathrooms, lockers for valuables, a working kitchen where guests can cook, and free laundry, which is a great extra.

A really good place to stay, close to the main spots. We had the family room and liked it. Yasmina was a big help, and the other staff were friendly too. Definitely recommend.
