The rooms are spacious for two, with two desks, a huge closet, a TV, and a refrigerator, though I still don't understand how the fridge works. We liked the place, and the staff were very nice. They even gave us a bottle of water when we arrived. Unfortunately, the neighbors seemed to like it more than we did. They were moaning so loudly I couldn't fall asleep. The walls are thin, but otherwise it's a great place for the price.

The rooms and location are okay for the price, but the service was poor. We asked to have a few clothes laundered and were told they'd be ready the next day. When we asked the price, they said 300 to 500. The next day, our clothes were still wet, and we were asked for 5000. We argued because that wasn't what we'd agreed to, and we'd never have accepted if we'd known the real price. Then they said it was 300 per item, which made no sense for the number of clothes. They also tried to make us feel bad for having underwear washed, even though laundry bags can include underwear and socks. A cleaning lady joined in and implied we couldn't afford it, then said they wouldn't make us pay as a favor to us poor peasants. As westerners traveling in central Asia, I think they knew what that amount meant in our local currency. There were bedbugs everywhere, in the corridors and in the rooms. If we hadn't paid for the second night in advance, we definitely would have left right away. A weird experience overall.
