The staff were welcoming, and the food was tasty.

A very good hotel, with welcoming staff and good food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The location is handy, close to the market and lake, and you can have a pretty good break here if you want a change of scenery. Food is a bit of a gamble: breakfast was filling but nothing special, so we went to a nearby cafe for lunch and dinner. The summer cottages are best for warm weather. They have an outdoor adult pool, a small kids' pool, a playground, and a court for soccer or volleyball. There's another separate cottage too, but I haven't stayed there. The cottage I can describe has two floors, with six rooms on each. Soundproofing is poor, and you can hear people talking next door and upstairs. Rooms have a small fridge and TV, but no hairdryer or kettle, so bring your own if needed. Pool and room towels are supplied. They'll clean on request, which worked fine for us.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, with good Wi-Fi, a TV, and a fridge. They supplied shower gel, shampoo, soap, plenty of towels, robes, and slippers. I especially liked that there were separate towels for the sauna. The staff were friendly, the grounds had great playgrounds for little kids, and Central Park is just a five-minute walk away. We don't have young children, but it looked like they'd have a good time there. We got a special deal that included three meals a day. The home-style food was excellent and the portions were so generous we couldn't finish everything. There was a pool, sauna, and hammam too. It felt like a good five-star hotel. The only little drawback was the grubby sofa in our room, but that didn't bother us much since Borovoe has so many forests and lovely places to visit.
