The lake is only about a 10-minute walk away, and the hotel feels calm and cozy despite being near Borovoe, right in the heart of Shchuchye. It was clean and comfortable, with a lovely atmosphere and very polite staff. A place I'd happily return to.

We wandered through the forest looking for Lake Shchuchye, passing pretty stairs, bridges, and paths made for visitors. The water was too cold for swimming, so we just splashed at the shore. The scenery was gorgeous, and Timber Hotel made the trip even better. It's new, stylish, and clean, with a huge, photogenic room looking out onto a dense, magical forest. We barely wanted to leave the room, though a balcony would've been nice. The chefs deserve thanks too: the food was so tasty and home-like that we kept returning to eat there instead of going out. The trip was wonderful, and we hope to come back one day, inshallah.
