Dostyk Hotel Bautino

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the Wi-Fi signal was great. Breakfast was okay, with a range of dishes, and the bar and restaurant had affordable prices. There’s also a sauna, a small gym, and an outdoor football field. It’s a three-star hotel, about a 4-minute drive from NCOC Bautino Supply Base, and mainly accommodates contractors working there. The rooms are small and cleaned adequately, but the smell of smoke in mine ruined my stay. There aren’t many alternatives if you’re visiting Bautino Base for work.

For Bautino, this seems like one of the better hotel options. Check-in was fairly easy, the service was adequate, and there was enough room inside. The main issue I noticed was cigarette smoke coming from the toilet. I suspect it may have traveled through the ventilation from other bathrooms, where people might smoke despite the rules. Many guests are workers from NCOC and other contractors. Breakfast and dinner were both good quality, with plenty to choose from. Dinner portions and dishes felt heavy, more like lunch, so I usually stuck to the few lighter choices, often salad.

The food was great, and the staff were really friendly. The facilities seemed nice too, though the pool table was a little damaged.

There aren't any facilities in the rooms for making tea or coffee.
