We were passing through, and I wouldn't stay here again. Breakfast was a letdown: they called it a buffet, but even the milk porridge was unpleasant, and there was no coffee machine, just a small plate of the cheapest instant coffee. We also spotted a flycatcher in the room, which was really unpleasant, even if it was small. The hot water wasn't properly hot at first, and we had to let it run for a while. We had booked a deluxe room for two with breakfast, a double bed and a sofa, after being told it would work for three of us. The room initially seemed spacious, pleasant, and clean, with a tidy toilet and bed linen and even a desk. Later we noticed lots of dust in the closet, in corners, and behind the desk, which stood well away from the wall. There were only two toothbrush sets and one pair of slippers for the three of us, though there were three bars of soap and shampoo. That's odd for a double deluxe room.

The hotel is in a convenient spot, and the staff were polite. Across the street there's a car wash with karaoke. If your room faces it, the singing can be heard and disturb the quiet. Our standard room for two nights cost 14,500 tenge/night. It had a refrigerator, shower, toilet, and an old TV with a few channels. The hotel feels dated, with an interior from another era, but that gives it a distinctive atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was good, and the dining room has a lovely traditional northern-style interior. It's a perfectly suitable mid-range place to stay.

I couldn't eat at the hotel. The restaurant seemed geared more toward large events, though there is a small, cozy dining room. Prices at the restaurant felt too high, and the wait for food was unacceptably long, so we went to a nearby cafe. The hotel itself is quite large, with clean rooms, polite and friendly staff, and reasonable prices. I think management should replace the bed linens and light bulbs, and get the telephones connected. Before booking next time, I'll ask about the condition of the rooms.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. It's dirty, the staff are unfriendly, and the price is too high. The so-called buffet feels like a marketing ploy, with very little to choose from.

For the corporate event on 12/29/23, the interior was good. The service was so-so, and the food wasn't up to restaurant standard.
